FAQ about Michael Dicken

How would you describe yourself in 140 characters or less?

I am a tall bearded family man with two bikes, a Boston terrier, an abiding love of classic soul/funk music and all things graphic design.

How much experience do you have as an art director and graphic designer?

I've been out here on these streets working as an art director and designer for a long time. I have covered a lot of ground, but this business is still as exciting as the day I started. I thrive on new challenges, and this industry never fails to deliver. Contact me if you'd like to see my full resume.

Do you have a personal design/life philosophy?

Yes: Keep It Simple.

What album would like to have with you if you were stranded on a deserted island?

London Calling by the Clash. I've owned this record on cassette, vinyl, CD, and mp3. I still find new dimensions to it on every listen. RIP Joe Strummer.

Listen for yourself on Spotify.

Did you attend a legit university?

Yes. I have a BFA in Graphic Design from Edinboro University. Go Boro!

So you say you have a Boston Terrier. Can you shamelessly share a photo of him?

Certainly. And his name is Maceo Barker.

What is your favorite movie?

This would be a tie between The Royal Tannenbaums and the original Conan the Barbarian. Two very different films, but hey, I'm an eclectic guy.

Would you say you are best suited to working in print, web, or video?

All of the above. My eclecticism goes beyond to my taste in movies. I have extensive experience developing strong, strategy-based solutions across a wide range of media.

I have more questions about you. How can I get answers?

Visit my contact page and drop me a line. I'd love the chance to answer any other questions you might have about my work, pets or taste in popular culture. This doesn't have to end here.
